Maureen B. Sullivan

Sullivan, Maureen B. (Wyse) of N. Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, died July 14, 2013. Beloved wife of Joseph J. Sullivan III of N. Weymouth. Loving mother of Patrick Sullivan and his wife Johanna of Charlestown, and Kelly Sullivan and her fiancé Ryan Menice of Norwood. Daughter of Edmund and Mary Wyse of Dennis. Devoted sister of Timothy Wyse and his wife Miriam of Newton, Deirdre Ginns and her husband Steven of Hingham, Joseph Wyse of Centerville, Erin Duggan and her husband John of Duxbury, Brigid Casey and her husband Gerry of Hingham, Colleen Chave and her husband Bill of Milton. Sister in Law of Carol and Jon Beale and Michael and Crystal Sullivan all of Hingham. Cherished grandmother of Stuart Sullivan. Maureen was also survived my many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Maureen was born in Boston and grew up in Hyde Park. She was a graduate of Fontbonne Academy and attended Aquinas College in Milton. Maureen was a dedicated employee of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office in Brockton in the child protection unit for the past 10 years. She had a special connection with children. She once had a thriving home day care business. Maureen had a very nurturing influence and had a very close bond with her sisters who would say that she taught them how to be a mom. Most of all Maureen’s family was the cornerstone of her life, especially her grandson Stuart. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street in Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Maureen may be made to Plymouth County Children’s Advocacy Center, 10 Christy’s Drive, Brockton, MA 02301.
