Maureen A. Coughlin

Maureen A. (Ferric) Coughlin, longtime resident of Weymouth, died November 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen was born in Ballybrit in County Galway, Ireland. In her early years Maureen worked as a union waitress in Boston. Later she gave her time working as an elderly companion. Maureen enjoyed music, trips to Foxwoods, traveling, cooking and creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She will be remembered for her golden heart, infectious smile and Irish wit. 

Beloved wife of the late Leo P. Coughlin. Devoted mother of Leo P. Coughlin, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Weymouth, Ann Coughlin of Weymouth, Thomas J. Coughlin of Weymouth, Patricia M. Pantano and her husband Paul of Braintree and Donna M. Bersani and her husband Steven of East Bridgewater. Loving sister of Phyllis Lowry, the late Thomas Feerick, the late Vincent Feerick and his widow Kathleen, all of County Galway, Ireland. Cherished Nana of  Matthew Coughlin, Benjamin Coughlin, Olivia Pantano, Ryan Coughlin, Ailish Coughlin, Alexandra Pantano, Kyle Bersani, Michael Coughlin, Lauryn Bersani and Sophia Pantano. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
