Knasas, Matthew A. of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Hingham, passed away November 25, 2012. Beloved son of Anthony and Marjorie (Glennon) Knasas. Loving brother of Anthony G. Knasas of Los Angeles, CA. Cherished grandson of Anne Knasas of Quincy, and the late Alfred Knasas, Edward and Margaret Glennon. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Matthew grew up in Hingham. He was a graduate of Hingham High School, Class of 2000, and a 2005 graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Matthew was a self-employed architectural photographer. He lived and worked in New York City before moving to Los Angeles in 2008. While in Los Angeles he also worked as an extra in television shows and acted in his brother’s short films. He was selfless, supportive and jovial with friends, always embracing camaraderie. His devoted loyalty to family and friends defined him. He was an avid Boston sports fan. Matthew had a wonderful and quirky sense of humor and brought laughter to his family and friends, especially his mother. Like his father, he was very proud of his Lithuanian heritage. Matthew will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial will be private. If you wish, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley, MA 02481.
