Maryann Wilkinson

Mary Ann Wilkinson (Hartford) of Braintree died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 5th 2023. She was 83 years young. 

She battled many illnesses over the past few years. Never once did Maryann complain or give up hope. Her strong faith got her through many health challenges. She succumbed to chronic COPD combined with lung cancer.

The way Maryann faced her impending death was amazing and heartwarming. She believed she would soon be reunited with her mother, father and husband as well as her brother Neil. She was not afraid. She was ready to “go upstairs”, and, among her last words was “no sad faces, no crying’.’

She is survived by her loving sister Nancie Goddard and brother-in-law, Jack Goddard of Braintree. Maryann’s dear brothers and their wives, Myron D. Hartford, Jr .and his wife Peggy. George Hartford, and his wife Rozzi, Peter Hartford and his wife Kathy . All of Falmouth, MA. Another brother Stephen Hartford and his wife Linda from Sabattus, ME. We will all miss Maryann and her kind ways every day. Maryann cherished her family.

Maryann had no children but loved all of her many nieces and nephews. And grand nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, MA .
