Mary Virginia “Ginny” Mclore

McLore, Mary Virginia “Ginny” (McKenna) of Hingham, died January 19, 2016. 

Ginny was a life long resident of Hingham from birth through her 90 years of life.  She was a graduate of Hingham High School and continued her education at Quincy Nursing School where she received her Registered Nursing Degree.  During WWII Ginny became a nurse cadet and later worked in the City of Quincy Hospital.  Ginny was a devout Catholic, she was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Parish in Hingham where she was one of the founding member of their prayer group, volunteered as a sexton and devoted her time to caring for the church.  She enjoyed traveling the world, camping in NH and found great pleasure in gardening.  Ginny will be sadly missed.

Pre deceased by her husband Floyd McLore.  Devoted mother of Stephen McLore and his wife Jean of Pembroke, Virginia Ann Yzereef of Canada, Duncan McLore and his wife Patricia Flaherty of Rockland, Robert McLore and his wife Deanna of Abington, Sandra McLore of Colorado and the late Diana, Janet and Michael McLore, Margaret Prim and Andrew McLore. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Caring sister of the late Duncan and Henry McKenna.  Also survived by many nephews and extended family.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.
