Quercia, Mary V. (Groden), born and raised in Boston and lived in Braintree for 50 years, passed away peacefully at the home of her grandson in Braintree surrounded by her loving family, August 2, 2015. She was the beloved wife for 58 years of the late Anthony L. Quercia.
Loving mother of Veronica A. Payzant and her husband Stephen, Francis Quercia and his late wife MaryAnn Quercia, and James Barends.
Cherished grandmother of Keith and Susanna Payzant, Stacy and Christian Ballerino, Christopher and Tracy Quercia, Todd and Lauren Payzant, Nathan and Melanie Quercia. Loving Nana to her great grandchildren,, Abigale, Madison, A.J., Stephen, Jared, Domenic, Arjun, Sean, Luke, Ryan, Cole, Lillian, Emily and Evan.
Dear sister of Winifred Frank, John Groden and the late Mary A. Groden, Anne Latola, Thomas, Patrick and Edward Groden.
Mary was an active member of the D.A.V. for many years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare Parish, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
