Mary T. Monahan

Monahan, Mary T. (Burke) of Squantum November 3, 2008. Wife of the late Vinnie Monahan. Loving mother of Kathleen Monahan of Quincy, Maryanne & husband John White of Marshfield, Tish & husband Gerry Fernandez of Squantum, Jane Monahan of Quincy, John Monahan & wife Suzanne, Colleen & husband Kevin White, all of Squantum, and the late Edward & Thomas Monahan. Sister of Thomas Burke of Squantum. Sister in law of Sr. Catherine Monahan, OSC of Roxbury. Devoted grandmother of Jerry, Kelly, Bridget, Eddie, Patrick, Dan, Matthew, Mark, Kevin, Maeve, and Aidan. Mary attended Emmanuel College and worked as a secretary for the Paulist Center in Boston. She volunteered as a CCD teacher for Star of the Sea Church in Squantum where she also served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Women’s Club. Mary enjoyed frequent trips to Connemara, Ireland, visiting beloved family & friends. Most of all, Mary loved her family and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
