Mary R. Hogan

Hogan, Mary R. (McCarthy) of Quincy, MA passed away peacefully on July 3, 2016 at the age of 92.  

Beloved wife of the late John J. Hogan Jr.  Loving and devoted mother to Kathleen Beatrice and her husband Richard of Marshfield, Kevin Hogan of Quincy, Ann Marie Cannon and her husband Stephen of Quincy, John J. Hogan III and his wife Joan of Weymouth and the late Joseph Hogan, Mary Williamson and Eileen MacNamara and infant son Hogan.  She is the devoted Nana of her 12 wonderful grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  She was a dear and cherished sister to Catherine Judge and her husband James, Pauline Ryan and the late Julia Lorenz, John McCarthy, Joseph McCarthy and Francis McCarthy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a long standing member of Catholic Daughters of America (Carmel Court Division).  She was also a long time volunteer for St. Ann Catholic Church society of St. Vincent de Paul.  Mary will always be remembered as being a kind, generous and unselfish, compassionate woman who always put other people’s needs ahead of her own.  She will be greatly missed and always remain an inspiration to all.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
