Mary R. Eagan-Connolly

Mary R. (Madigan) Eagan-Connolly of Middleboro, formerly of Weymouth, died April 5, 2013.

Mary worked at John Hancock Insurance Company. She was a board member and honorary member of Pond Plain Improvement Association; a past den mother; a past president of of Fulton School P.T.A. in Weymouth; a past member of Weymouth Garden Club; a lifetime member of Friends of South Shore Hospital; a former South Shore Hospital volunteer; and the business manager of her husband’s medical office. She enjoyed travel, reading, cooking and entertaining.

Wife of the late Walter Eagan, M.D. and the late Gerald Connolly. Mother of Walter Eagan and his wife Shannon of Lake Tahoe, CA, Yvette Wells and her husband Peter of Framingham, Yvonne Odin and her husband Richard of E. Northport, NY, and the late Mark Eagan. Cherished “Gram” to 8 grandchildren. Sister of Patrick Madigan of Brockton, Theresa Madigan of OR and Miriam Desmond of Milton and VT. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
