O’Sullivan – Young, Mary (DeCourcey) of Quincy, December 17, 2006. Beloved wife of Norman S. Young of Quincy. Loving mother of Kenneth A. O’Sullivan and his wife Maureen of Abington, Kevin G. O’Sullivan and his wife Jil of NH and Kurt E. O’Sullivan and his wife Sandy of Norton. Loving sister of Arthur DeCourcey of VA. “Grammy” to Michelle, Jill, Kristin, Kenny, Dan, Paul, Chris and Connor. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren and 3 nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 9 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 PM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Jamaica Plain. Mary was well known for her baking skills. She was called the “Cookie Lady” and chocolate chip cookies were her specialty. Mary waitressed for many years while her children were young. She worked at the China Star, Mug ‘n Muffin and Barry’s Deli, all in Quincy. She was self educated and proud of the fact that she returned to Quincy Junior College to learn new skills for the business world. She then went to work for Boston Five Cent Savings Bank and worked there for 8 years rising to Assistant Manager. She then went to work at Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in Quincy where she stayed for the past 13 years until her illness prevented her from doing so this year. Everyone that knew Mary affectionately referred to her as Grammy. Her family describes her as sweet, energetic, a strong work ethic, and courageous in fighting her illness.
