Mary Murray

Murray, Mary (Kelly) of Hull, died December 29, 2016. Mary grew up in Glasgow, Scotland later retiring to Hull. Mary attended the St. Alphonsus High School, she spent many years as a seamstress. Among making beautiful clothing for her children, Mary also made parachutes for soldiers during WWII. Family was the cornerstone of Mary’s life and she loved to spend time with the grandchildren. 

Loving wife of the late James Murray. Daughter of the late John and Martha (McGhee) Kelly. Beloved mother of James Murray and the late Jean of Shropshine, England, Mary Boyle and the late Thomas of Hull, Ann Gilbert and her husband Daniel of Hull, Helen Singleton of Hingham and the late Martha and John High. Proud Granny to 13 and also the proud Great Granny to 13. Sister of Tricia, Annie and Mary. Predeceased by her siblings Martha, Jack, Sadie, Madge, Helen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
