Mary “Mae” (Cummings) Malloy, of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, died January 7, 2021.

Mae assisted her husband in the startup of their family business “MJ Malloy Company” and worked in every facet of the company over the years. She was active in many programs in the community as her children grew and participated in sports and extra curricular activities. Mae took great pride in learning about her heritage and traveling to Ireland. She was an avid reader, a devoted grandmother and a great friend. She will be deeply missed.

Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Martin J. Malloy, Jr. Devoted mother of Kathy DeLong and her husband Gary of DE, Terry Dandurand of Raynham, Pat Malloy and his companion Joyce Finn of Weymouth, Mary Jo Malloy of Quincy, Martin J. Malloy, III and his companion Marilyn Costello of CT and Mike Malloy of NY. Mother-in-law of Kathy Casey Malloy of Weymouth. Cherished Nana of Rob and Tim DeLong, Michelle and JP Malloy, Megan and Conor Malloy. Great Nana and Mimi to Samantha “Mae” Lindberg and Logan DeLong. Loving sister of the late Kathleen O’Sullivan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

The Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham will be private but will be live streamed on Saturday at 10 AM on the funeral home website.

Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Mae’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.
