Nolan, Mary M. (Murray) of Quincy, passed away December 4, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Paul V. Nolan. Loving mother of Paul J. Nolan and his wife Michelle of Weymouth, Peg A. Oliver and her husband John of Gloucester, Eileen Gibson and her husband Richard of Whitman, and Jeanne Jamgochian and her husband Charles of Arlington. Daughter of the late Declan Murray and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Murray. Sister of Sr. Rita Murray, O.F.S., of Chestnut Hill, and the late James F. Murray, and Rev. S. John Murray, S.M.A. Nana to Christopher, John, Katelyn, Jessica, Matthew, Nicole, Patrick, Robert, Jeffrey and Dianna. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary worked at Boston City Hall as a secretary prior to raising her family and retired from Quincy Public Schools in 2002. She started as a lunch mother and completed her work as a secretary in the office at Montclair School. Her family was the centerpiece of her life and she enjoyed having everyone around for dinner, holidays and family activities. A selfless lady, Mary always put other people’s needs ahead of her own. She took pride in being able to care for her aging parents. She will be remembered for her friendship, loving nature, and caring ways. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Shriners Burns Institute, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
