Mulkern, Mary M. (Mullin) of Rockland, passed away on July 21, 2011, surrounded by the family she cherished. The beloved wife of 50 years of the late James Mulkern. Devoted mother of James Mulkern of Quincy, Maureen Nardiello and her husband Mario and John Mulkern and his wife Michele all of Weymouth, Peggie Ryan & her husband John of Braintree, Eileen Curran and her husband Mike of Hanover and Veronica Mulkern of Dorchester. Loving sister of Brian Mullin of Dorchester, Patrick Mullin of Belmont and the late John Mullin. Cherished grandmother of James, Michaela and Victoria Nardiello, Samatha Geddry, Michael & Ava Curran and Macy Mae & John Mulkern, Jr. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in County Galway, Ireland. She raised her family in Quincy before moving to Weymouth and then later to Rockland. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved to stay busy just working around the house. The essence of her life was her family. She raised her family so their childhood was rich with family love and tradition, which was the foundation for all that was important to her. Her children are forever grateful for all the blessings that she brought into their lives. Mary will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
