Mary M. Mackay

MacKay, Mary M. (Carroll) of Middleboro, formerly of Quincy, passed away May 29, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Alfred C. MacKay. Loving mother of Stephen MacKay and his wife Patti of Marshfield, Kathleen MacKay and her husband Ken Jones of Westborough, Nancy Cordeiro and her husband Christopher of Franklin, Maureen Sullivan and her husband Michael of E. Bridgewater, and Lorraine Sullivan and her husband John of Franklin. Sister of Fr. Alban “Brendan” Carroll, S.A. of NY and the late Jack Carroll and Sr. Kathleen “Kittie” Carroll. Sister-in-law of Ronald MacKay of Quincy. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 nephews. Mary’s life revolved around her loving family and they gave her the most enjoyment through the years. A longtime member of St. Ann’s Parish in Wollaston. Mrs. MacKay volunteered for many years at Carney Hospital. Both she and her husband spent many winters in Stuart, FL since 1987. She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston.
