Mary M. Good

Good, Mary M. (Ford) 88, of Weymouth, died June 30, 2013. Daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Foster) Ford.

Mary grew up in Wollaston, where she attended Central Junior High, later graduating from North Quincy High School class of 1943.  It was with a feeling of pride that Mary worked on a farm in Burlington, MA as an emergency farm worker during World War II, while the boys fought overseas.  After graduating from Miami University in Ohio, Mary worked in public relations at United Shoe in Boston.  In 1951 Mary married Joe Good and settled in Weymouth, where they ran a business.  She was very skilled in decorative arts with a main passion in dollhouses.  Her Cape Cod dollhouse won the grand prize for Tiny Treasures Society.

Beloved wife of Joseph R. Good of Weymouth.  Loving mother of Nancy Hubert of Wilton, NH, Barbara Prindall of Dover and Jay Good of Weymouth.  Caring sister of Kathleen Allison and Polly LaBalme.  Loving cousin of Kate Benjamin.  Devoted grandmother of Melanie, Jessica, Adam and John, great grandmother of William and Alexander.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 6. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
