Dillon, Mary M. (McDonough) of Quincy, died January 16, 2019.
Beloved wife of 53 years to David Dillon of Quincy. Loving mother of Bob Dillon and his wife Tricia of Dorchester and Brian Dillon of Dorchester. Cherished grandmother of James, Lauren and Avery Dillon all of Dorchester. Caring sister of Helen Hickey of Marshfield, Barbara Graham and her husband Gerry of Quincy, John J. McDonough and his wife Karen of Maryland and Noreen Currier and her husband Bobby of Quincy. Cherished dear friend of Lois Schaff of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary worked as an administrator in Dorchester court house for over 30 years before retirement. She enjoyed time spent at the beach and dancing. Mary will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her caregiving personality. Her main passion in life was her family, especially her three grandchildren. Mary will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Oncology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center by visiting www.bidmc.org/giving or by check made payable to “Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with the Department of Oncology in the memo line.
