Burns, Mary M. (McNulty) of Weymouth and Braintree, died December 14, 2017.

Mary was born in Somerville to the late Michael and Lucy McNulty. She grew up in Braintree and was a longtime resident of Weymouth. She attended Braintree High School and earned her Associates Degree at Burdett Business School. For many years, Mary worked as an executive secretary at the telephone company. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Mothers Club and later became a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth. In 2014, Mary moved from Weymouth to Grove Manor Estates in Braintree, where she made many wonderful new friendships and enjoyed new activities. She loved her family, friends and playing bingo, and enjoyed being at her home in Eastham. Mary was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Burns. Loving mother of Stephen Burns and his wife Julie of Scituate, Richard Burns and his wife Geri of Weymouth, Cindy and her husband Richard Howard of Upton and Brian Burns and his wife Maureen of Rockland. Cherished Grandmother of Jeffrey Burns and his wife Melissa of Milton, Philip Burns and his wife Jen of Norwell, Meghan and her husband Kyle Droppers of Chapel Hill, NC, Timothy Burns and his wife Cara of Pawtucket, RI, Kathryn Howard of South Boston and Mark and Emma Burns, both of Rockland. Also proud “Grammy” and “GiGi” to 11 Great Grandchildren. Mary is predeceased by her siblings; George McNulty and his wife Lois of Plymouth, Charles McNulty of Braintree and Ann May and her husband Jim of Halifax. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday in the funeral home at 9:30 AM prior to the funeral mass at 10:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth. The burial will be in Village Cemetery, Weymouth, at a later date.
