Morris, Mary Lou of Quincy formerly of Dorchester , died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. The beloved daughter of the late John and Mary A. (Gaquin) Morris. Loving sister of John Morris of Arlington, Kathleen Stedman of Quincy, Robert Morris, BPD of Braintree and Peter Morris, BPD of Weymouth. Mary Lou is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, whom she cherished. Mary Lou was a resident of Dorchester for many years before moving to Quincy. She was a former postal worker at the South Postal Annex in South Boston for 20 years. She retired from the post office and began her teaching career at St. Bridget’s in South Boston. There she taught kindergarten and primary school children. She also was a substitute teacher in Quincy and Boston Schools. The focus of her life was teaching children and being with her family. She was a devoted sister and aunt who adored her many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou dedicated her life to children and will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 3-7pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15AM on Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, 44 School St. Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mary Lou may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 21 Gay St. Quincy, MA 02169.
