Mary L. Richards

Mary L. (Vissa) Richards of South Weymouth formerly of Quincy, passed away on Sunday February 10, 2013 at the South Shore Hospital following a brief illness. 

Beloved wife of the late Gerald L. Richards. Mary is survived by her devoted daughter Lois C. Richards-Condon of South Weymouth, her two loving granddaughters: Caryn M. Condon of Scituate  partner of Kathy Cronin and Sandra M. Nordstrom married to Carl of So. Wemouth. Sister of the late Anthony Vissa, the late Robert Vissa, the late Yolanda Ross, the late Joseph Vissa, the late Alba Vissa and the late Teresa Vissa. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and brother-in-law Kenneth V. Richards of So. Weymouth.

Born, raised and educated in Quincy, Mary had lived most of her life in Weymouth. She worked 35 years as an assembler for the Raytheon Corp. before her retirement. She loved Bingo, rooting for the Red Sox and bowling.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp South Shore Hospital) Friday evening 4:30-8:30 pm. Relatives and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 8:00 to be followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, West Quincy at 9:00 and burial in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Whipple Senior Center 182 Green St., North Weymouth, Ma 02191.
