O’Reilly, Mary L. “Mary Lou” of Quincy, died February 1, 2016.
Mary Lou adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them, buying gifts for every occasion, and celebrating the holidays together. She was a very social woman who was a friend to everyone with a generous nature and always put others before her self. Mary Lou enjoyed traveling with her friends to England, taking an Alaskan cruise, and especially their trips to York Beach, Maine. She was very active in St. Ann’s Church and was a devout Catholic, her faith was very important to her. She taught CCD and was a member of the Mary Ann’s. She was a funny, outgoing, and thoughtful woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mary Lou is reunited with her beloved parents James and Rita and her brother Paul, all to whom she was very close with.
Daughter of the late James and Rita (Waters) O’Reilly. Devoted mother of Theresa Jones and her partner Fran of Braintree, Carol Brown and her husband William of Quincy, David Jones of Quincy, and Christopher Jones and his wife Sarah of Braintree. Loving sister of James O’Reilly of Boston, Rita Mitchell of Braintree, Gerry O’Reilly of Quincy, and the late Paul and Jack O’Reilly. Devoted grandmother of Erin Jones, Joshua Brown, Sarah Brown, and Christopher Jones. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and best friend Pat Cosseboom.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 10:30-11:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 12 PM. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Lou may be made to American Lung Assoc. of MA, 460 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451.
