Mary L. Cyr

Cyr, Mary L. (Harrington) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester,died Sun.,February 1, 2015.

Mary was a woman very devoted to her faith.  She was a past active member of St. Mark’s Parish in Dorchester, where she enjoyed an association with the Ladies Sodality, women’s bowling, Girl Scouts and more.  Mary also taught CCD at St. Ann’s in Quincy.  Her main passion besides chocolate, was her family, and spending time with those she loved.  Mary will be remembered for her great wit,  sense of humor, and her caring manner, especially toward the handicapped. The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Colonial Nursing and Rehabilitation, Weymouth, for the care and devotion they provided for our Mom.

Beloved wife of the late Herman J. Cyr.  Loving mother of Donald J.Cyr of Quincy, John C.Cyr and his wife Louise of Plymouth, Marilyn E.Skahan and her husband Ron of Quincy, Geraldine M.Cyr of Quincy, William F.Cyr and his wife Elizabeth Binari of Kingston and Laurence Cyr and his wife Mary of Quincy. Devoted Nana of John, Christopher, Gregory, Sean, Marybeth, Maryellen, Robert, Catherine and 8 great grandchildren. Cherished little sister of the late Anna, Frank, Bob and Vincent Harrington, Julia Mulvoy and Elinor Barron.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
