Mary Kathleen “Kay” (Fitzgerald) Nolan

Mrs Mary Kathleen “Kay” (Fitzgerald) Nolan, of Weymouth, died peacefully on December 12, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kay was born and educated in Co. Roscommon Ireland and immigrated to Boston in 1949 at the age of 19. She met her husband Richard at the State Ballroom in Boston and married on September 25, 1954. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Daughter of the late George and Margaret (Flynn) Fitzgerald. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Richard Nolan.  Loving mother of  George W. Nolan and his late wife, Joyce of Hingham, Robert C. Nolan of Boston, Joseph R. Nolan, Jr. and his partner, Leslie Hannigan of Weymouth, David F. Nolan and his wife, Claire, of Weymouth, John W. Nolan of Kingston, Gregory F. Nolan of Weymouth, Mary E. Carnell and her husband, Paul of Weymouth, and Caroline C. Nolan of Hingham. Sister of  John Fitzgerald and his wife, Beatrice of Roscommon, Ireland, the late James Fitzgerald and his wife Rose, of Roscommon, the late Edward Fitzgerald and his wife, Patricia, of Lexington, the late Bernard Fitzgerald and his wife, Margaret, of Dorchester, the late George Fitzgerald and his late wife Bridie, of Roscommon, and the late Teresa Connolly and her husband, William of Roscommon. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
