Harrison, Mary K. (Stenson) of Wollaston, entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2008. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died Sunday at Milton Hospital in Milton, MA. Mary was a communicant of St. Ann’s Parish in Wollaston. She was an active member of the Irish Social Club of West Roxbury and the Irish Music Club of Braintree. Mary was born in Bellaghy, Co. Sligo, Ireland. She emigrated to America in 1936 at the age of 18. She married Peter J. Harrison in 1945 and settled in Lowell, MA, where they started their family. The Harrison family then moved to Dorchester before settling in Wollaston in 1969. Family was very important to Mary. She loved to have large family gatherings on Sundays and holidays or when visitors were on from Ireland. Mary is survived by three sons, Michael F. Harrison of Berkley, CA, Peter J. Harrison, Jr. of Canton, MA, and John E. Harrison of Milton, MA and one daughter Mary Driscoll of Milford, MA; five grandchildren, Kevin Driscoll, Mark Driscoll, Beth Harrison, Peter William Harrison and Molly Harrison. She also leaves three siblings, Bridie Duffy and Margaret Stenson both of County Sligo, Ireland and Sean Stenson of Milton, MA and the late Tom, Mike, Martin, and Eddie Stenson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to Mother Theresa’s Missionaries of Charity, 401 Quincy Street, Dorchester, MA 02125.
