Mary J. Walsh

Walsh, Mary J. (Coletti) of Quincy December 8, 2007. Devoted wife of the late Thomas J. Walsh. Beloved mother of Cheryl Ann Barter and her companion Kevin Champagne of Braintree and the late Thomas C. Walsh. Cherished grandmother of Michael and Shawn Barter. Loving sister of Betty Bullwinkle of Waltham and the late Lucy M. Pellegrini, Edward Coletti, Geraldine Sellers, Josephine Whelan (who was Mary’s twin), Daniel Coletti, Anthony Coletti, Josephine Cardarelli, Ann Leone, Laura Chinigo, Enrico Coletti, and Nina Howe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in Newton, specifically in the section of Newton called Nonantum “the Lake”. She has resided in Quincy for the past 45 years. Mary was a very generous person, always giving to those in need. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining. Mary loved spending time with her friends and family and made several trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas with them. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Cremation will follow. Private burial will be at a later date.
