Kowalski, Mary J. of North Quincy, June 5, 2002. Ms. Kowalski , whose financial acumen and untiring work ethic was the cornerstone of strength for one of Boston’s most visible public relations firms, died after a brief illness. Mary’s widely known devotion to her family, it is especially ironic , that shortly before her passing , she underwent surgery at Quincy Medical Center at the same time her sister Ann Regan was under going open heart surgery at Boston Medical Center. Mary’s countless friends and admirers are remembering her as a woman of uncommon strength and dedication, a lively and colorful character who overcame difficult childhood circumstances to forge a life that was simple, but one that also brought her into contact with many famous figures in politics, entertainment and the arts. Mary leaves her sister Ann (Kowalski) Regan of Marina Bay. She was the devoted aunt of Marianne (Regan) Foley of Quincy and George K. Regan of Boston and the late Patricia Regan. Sister-in-Law of the late George K. Regan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday June 15, 2002 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on both Thursday & Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
