Gould, Mary J. of N. Quincy formerly of Dorchester, January 26, 2007. Beloved wife of the late John J. Gould. Loving mother of Mary Weidner of MD, Kathleen Gould of Quincy, Noreen McLaughlin of Clinton, Ann Marie O’Donnell and her husband Ted of Boston, Joanne Tlasek and her husband Rob of Holbrook, Margaret Gould of Quincy, John Gould, Jr. of Boston and Michael Gould and his wife Hazel of Quincy. She was the daughter of the late Patrick F. Joyce and Mary Kerrigan Joyce. She was the sister of Phillip B. Joyce and his wife Helen of FL, Frank F. Joyce of Quincy, Margaret M. Fox of Norwood and the late Theresa B. Irwin of Foxboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Robin Jr., Eileen, Michael Jr. and Christine. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in Mount Benedict Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Mrs. Gould was a resident of Dorchester for many years, before moving to North Quincy in 1985. She graduated from St. Matthew’s Grammar School class of 1944; St. Peter & Paul’s High School in 1948; and the Carney Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1951. She was a member of the St. Matthew’s Sodality, Sacred Heart Sodality, Sacred Heart Silver Citizen’s, Sen Fu Club of Boston and the Castle Island Association. Mary was a Girl Scout Leader for 15 years in St. Matthew’s Parish. She enjoyed writing, gardening, traveling, playing the piano and doing arts and crafts. Mary worked many years as a nurse in Mass. General Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy, The Boston Catholic Television Center and St. Matthew’s Church, Dorchester.
