Mary G. Harris

Harris, Mary G. (McCarthy) of Kingston, formerly a resident of Quincy for 53 years, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, she was 92. Mary was born in Cambridge on January 24, 1919, daughter of the late William F. and Ellen T. (O’Callaghan) McCarthy. The beloved wife of Thomas A. Harris of Kingston. Loving mother of William R. Harnish of Willow Springs, NC and Thomas A. Harris, Jr. of Clayton, NC and Holly (Harris) Horton of Pembroke. Sister of Francis McCarthy of Dorchester, Eileen Batakis of Worcester and the late Arthur & Thomas F. McCarthy and Evelyn Burke – Lidkea. Mary is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9am Saturday prior to the Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock St. QUINCY, Saturday at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
