Mary Agnes Finch, a longtime resident of Hull, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was 81.
Mary was born in Boston to Gladys (Hannon) and Robert B. Kenney and raised in Dorchester. She graduated from South Boston High School before earning her associate’s degree at Northeastern University. She worked as an x-ray technician at the former Health Stop in North Weymouth for over 20 years.
She met her love of her life, Ed, in Boston and the two hit it off immediately. They married shortly thereafter and settled in Quincy, where they would start their family. In 1971 the Finch family moved to Hull, where Mary and Ed would spend the remainder of their days together. Mary loved traveling with Ed and went on many cruises to Bermuda and trips to Aruba. When she wasn’t traveling, she enjoyed spending time with her family, BINGO nights, and bowling league.
Mary’s caring, sweet disposition, patience and charitable nature made for an amazing wife, mother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Beloved wife of 49 years to the late Edward J. Finch. Devoted mother to Kevin Finch and his wife Denise of Pembroke, Edward “Ted” Finch and his wife Loren McCorkle of Barnegat, NJ, Robert Finch and his wife Kimberly of Melrose and Kathleen Omer of Hull. Adoring grandmother to Devon, Veronica, Caden, Colby, Luke, and Ryan. Loving sister to Barbara Jahnke of Wakefield and the late Robert Kenney.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, August 28th, from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday, August 29th, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:30 AM.
