Mary F. Troy

Troy, Mary F. (O’Meara) of North Quincy, passed away May 30, 2011. surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Maryellen Troy-Pilato and her husband Garry, of Mattapan, Richard E. Troy and his wife, Deborah, of Sandwich, Joanne C. Didrikson and her husband, Robert, of Quincy, Jane T. McQueeney and her husband, James, of Easton, and Daniel J. Troy of Quincy,. Loving sister of Joan McNamara of Quincy, Jeannette McCarron of Derry, NH. Cousin of Katherine Barrett and Patricia Shaughnessey both of Quincy. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Boston, and had lived in South Boston before moving to Quincy fifty years ago. She was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School in South Boston and the University of Massachusetts in Boston. For over forty years Mary has been a season ticket holder for both the BSO and the Boston Ballet. Mary’s artistic flair was known to all and could be seen in her paintings and her finished sewing projects. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
