Mary F. Meade

Meade, Mary of Hull, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2013, at the age of 99 . 

Daughter of the late James L. and Anna E. (Considine) Meade. Sister of the late Robert L. Meade & Richard J. Meade. Aunt of Richard J.  Meade and his wife Leslie of Hanover, Robert L. Meade, Jr. and his wife Jonie of Hull, Patricia Hill of CO, Elaine Meade of Whitman, Diane Meade and Maureen Meade both of Hull.  Mary is also survived by many great and great grand nieces and nephews. Mary who was known as “Mazie’ has lived in Hull for 87 years. She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for 42 years retiring back in 1976. Mary was a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers Club, she enjoyed meeting her friends from the club for lunch on occasion. She was an avid animal lover and Red Sox fan who truly enjoyed gardening. The foundation of Mary’s life was her faith. She was a devout Catholic, her faith was the cornerstone of all that was truly important to her. She will be remembered as a independent woman, who was very much a lady, always wearing a skirt or dress with matching shoes and pocketbook and topping her outfit with a  stylish hat. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10am . Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
