Mary “Ellen” Morash

Morash, Mary “Ellen” (Pechura) of North Quincy – Wollaston Beach, passed away March 22, 2013.

Beloved wife of the late George E. Morash. Loving mother of Linda Morash Defreitas and her husband, John of Pembroke, George E. Morash, Jr. and his wife, Melehat of Belchertown and the late Patricia A. Morash. Sister of the late Sally Morash and Stella Skrinska. Grandmother of George Morash, III and Jasmin Morash. Aunt of Sally Quinn of Concord, NH and Henry Morash of Canada.

Born in Boston, Mary Ellen had lived in her North Quincy home for over 50 years. Mrs. Morash was a homemaker and also worked for many years in the restaurant business at the original Dunkin Donuts on Southern Artery, the Fireside Restaurant in Quincy and the Colonial 1600 Restaurant in Quincy Square. She was also an estimator during the war at the Quincy Shipyard. Her family and her home was everything to Mary Ellen. Mary Ellen’s garden was admired by all in the neighborhood and you could always see Mary Ellen walking her beloved scottish terrier, Angus McGregor.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday 10AM-11AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, followed by her Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Paws Rescue, P.O. Box 569, Accord, MA 02018 or to the Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
