Mary Elizabeth Kaine (nee Post) died Sunday, February 17 at her home in Weymouth, Massachusetts after a brief illness.
Born in Summit NJ, she was raised in Basking Ridge, NJ and attended local schools. After attending Ramapo College, she transferred to, and graduated from, the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada.) This was in close proximity to Bruce Beach, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron, where she enjoyed many a summer, first as a child, and then as a parent with her children. She will be remembered in many ways especially her expertise in knitting, as a lover of books, her extraordinary memory of all things great and small (including jokes) and as a wonderful baker.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth, Jonathan and David, her siblings Douglass Post, Alicia Ziesmer, Angela Corbet, and Martha Miller, 12 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Rev. Norman M. Post and Jane Post. Memorial donations may be made to the New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian Street, Weymouth, MA 02190 or to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were private.
