Mary E. (Harper) Walsh of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester, died after a brief illness on February 21, 2021 at South Shore Hospital.

Mary was the beloved wife of James R. Walsh of Weymouth for 50 years; loving mother of Kristy (Walsh) Cefalu and her husband Sal of Rockland, Kerry (Walsh) O’Shea and her husband Gary of Weymouth, Timothy Walsh and his wife Katie of Maynardville, TN; devoted Nana of Emilie Cefalu, Salvie Cefalu, and Nolah Walsh; and proud owner of her yellow lab, Reba.

Born in Boston on June 4, 1950, she was predeceased by her parents William Harper and Evelyn (Kellogg) Harper. Mary was an international sales representative at Zildjan for 20 years. She enjoyed her work and the relationships she built throughout the years.

Family was the most important part of Mary’s life. Her husband, children and grandchildren meant the world to her and she was happiest when they were all with her. Mary will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Additional funeral services will be private.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Mary’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.
