Mary E. Sturgis

Mary E. (Lordan) Sturgis of Hingham, died April 23, 2023 at the age of 90.

Mary enjoyed caring for her home and family. She was an avid gardener. She and her husband ran the Hingham Farmers Market for many years.

Wife of the late David W. Sturgis. Loving mother of Suzanne Sturgis-Herzberg of Hingham, Donna Mancini of Weymouth, Christopher T. Sturgis of Hingham, Nancy Craveiro of Danvers, and the late David L. Sturgis. Sister of the late Anne Desrochers and Thomas Lordan. Proud “Grandma” of Matthew Lentz, Jeremy Lentz, Shaun Lentz, Kristina Lentz, Chenohia Sturgis and great grandchildren Aiden Lentz, Matthew Lentz, James Charubini, and Liam Coursey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A graveside service will take place at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
