Mary E. (Ristuccia) Shea

Shea, Mary E. (Ristuccia) of Hingham, 95, passed away on December 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Mary had worked for 20 years for Stop and Shop Company as a manager and bookkeeper. Mary was a very proud United States Navy veteran and one of the last surviving females serving in World War II as a WAVE. She was a member of the American Legion Post #1 in Paris, France. Mary enjoyed swimming and exercise, spending time at the Weymouth Club and many other clubs in her later years at Linden Ponds.

Beloved wife of the late James R. Shea, Sr. Loving mother of James R. Shea, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Brookline, Linda S. Freedman and her husband, Peter, of New Hartford, NY, John L. Shea and his wife, Dolores, of Milton, and the late Janet S. Kenneally. Mother in law of James Kenneally and his wife, Michele, of Weymouth. Sister of John Ristuccia of Roslindale and the late Rose Caliri and B. Robert Ristuccia. Proud Grandmother to Deborah, David, Dan, Lisa, James, III, Lynn, Michael, Connor, John, Eric, Mary, Riley, and the late Kelley Shea. Great Grandmother to Siena, Gemma, Tessa, Francesca, and Rex. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours from 3-6 PM on Monday in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
