Mary E. O’Brien

O’Brien, Mary E. (Connelly) of Hingham, formerly of Fairfield, CT, died December 30, 2014. 

Mary’s life centered around her loving family, children and her faith.  Her smile could light up the room and she was an extremely social person.  Mary was a giver who enjoyed helping others.  While living in North Carolina she was a member of the Red Hat Society. 

Beloved wife of Raymond O’Brien of Hingham.  Loving mother of Marashane (Scott) Hughes, Kevin (Janet) O’Brien, Shawn (Sheila) O’Brien,Timothy (Leslie) O’Brien, Erin (James) Boyd, and Meghan (William) McMullan.  Sister of Roger Connelly, Barbara Milo, and the late Dolores Goldeman, Sally Sherwood and Barry Connelly.  Also survived by 17 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at the Linden Ponds Performing Arts Center (PAC), Hingham MA on Friday, January 2nd at 2:30pm.  A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield, CT 06825 at 9am on Saturday January 3rd and a celebration of Mary’s life at 1pm on Sunday January 4th at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to Alzheimers Association MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
