McLaughlin, Mary E. (Sullivan) of Quincy October 12, 2003. Wife of the late Robert McLaughlin for 29 years and later William Callahan for 10 years. Loving mother of Richard McLaughlin of AZ, Rosemary Gallagher, Janet Riley, both of Braintree, Philip McLaughlin of Quincy and the late Robert McLaughlin, Jr. Sister of the late Philip & Eugene Sullivan. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.Mrs. McLaughlin was owner and operator of the Wee Folks Nursery School in South Boston for 53 years, before retiring 2 years ago. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in West Roxbury and Siena Heights University in Michigan where she earned her B.A. in English. She earned two Masters Degrees. Her first was in education from Boston State and her second was in early education from Lesley College in Cambridge. She was a licensed certified social worker and was also certified to teach in Massachusetts and Michigan. Donations in memory of Mrs. McLaughlin may be made to Mass.
