Mary received her Associate’s degree in accounting from Bentley College and went on to work for Granite City Electric for over 30 years as their bookkeeper. She was very active in the church and her faith was very important to her. She loved the ocean and could often be found with her feet in the water reading a good book. She enjoyed traveling all over the US and Europe, especially to Italy and Germany. Mary was devoted to her family and would always put others before herself. She was a lovable, thoughtful, and considerate woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Devoted mother of Anthony Candito and his wife Carol of Greensboro, GA, Robert Candito of Houston, TX, and her “honorary son” Michael Dunphy of Hull. Loving sister of William Slattery and the late James, John, and Patricia Slattery. Doting grandmother of Kara Candito and her husband Victor Castro of Madison, WI, Bryan Candito of Portland, OR, and Kristina Candio of Houston, TX. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, she shared a special bond with nieces Margaret Munchbach of Quincy and Joyce Melendy of South Easton.
