Mary Conroy

Conroy, Mary (Casali) of Quincy, died December 4, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Michael Conroy. Loving mother of Michael Conroy Jr and his wife Rose of Stoughton, Kathleen Stachowski and her husband Robert of Braintree, Terese O’Connor and her husband Patrick of Auburn, and Mary Meany and her husband Kevin of Marlborough. Sister of Mario “Mike” Casali and his wife Norma of Braintree. Cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and their spouses: Jessica Conroy, Michael Conroy, Amy and Tim Bulger, Tom Stachowski, Marylynn and Ben Sours, Joy and Colin Miller, Katie, Jimmy, Jennie, John, Abbie, Sarah, Paul, Peter, and Anna O’Connor, Andrew Meany, and was anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild. Mary is also survived by her dear friends Marilyn and Frank Masciulli of Quincy, Ann and Joe Meany of Marlborough, and Rosa and Tony Cappuccio of Malden. Mary’s family and devoted friends Ronnie Cannon and Dee Condon made it possible for her to remain in her Wollaston home of 83 years. Mary worked for TJ Maxx Company in Quincy as a sales associate for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, walking the beach, playing bocce, and was an avid reader. Mary was a member of the St. Ann Marianne’s. She remained close throughout her life to her group of girlfriends that were affectionately known as “The Gabby Daffies”. Most importantly, Mary loved her family as they were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
