Mary C. Donelin

Donelin, Mary C., of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, March 20, 2005. Daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Manning) Donelin. Beloved sister of the late Rev. John M., Joseph J., Thomas R. and Rev. Msgr. Paul F. Donelin. Sister in law of Kay Donelin of Quincy and the late Mary C. Donelin. Aunt of Paul of NV, Thomas R. of Westwood, Kevin of Quincy, Barbara, Kathleen Ceurvells and Clare Mazza all of Quincy, Patricia of Norwood, Kathryn of Westwood and Janet Hanlon of Sandwich. Great aunt of Jessie and Katie Ceurvells, Jennifer Donelin, Bridget, Emily and Grace Mazza, all of Quincy, Michael and Brian Donelin, Joseph Ceurvells, all of Quincy and Peter and Patrick Hanlon of Sandwich. Mary was born in Dorchester and graduated from St. Gregory’s High School in 1932. She received a degree in History from Emmanuel College in 1936. She remained an active alumus, serving as a class agent for many years. She worked at the Walter Baker Chocolate Factory in Dorchester for over 30 years, moving to Industrial Ingredients in Weymouth and the Department of Transportation in Boston, until her retirement in 1980. Mary kept in close touch with her friends from Walter Baker Chocolate Factory by attending their annual reunion. Mary was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. She enjoyed traveling, including Rome, Bermuda, California, and Ireland. She devoted her life to her family.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 11 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
