Mary C. Degrandis

DeGrandis, Mary C. (Palmer) of Quincy, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 17, 2011. Daughter of the late Bartholomew and Carmela Warner. Beloved wife of the late Arthur N. DeGrandis and Salvatore V. Palmer. Loving mother of Kathleen M. Palmer of Quincy, William F. Palmer and his wife Virginia of FL, and the late Anthony M. Palmer. Loving daughter-in- law of Nanci A. Palmer. Mary is also lovingly survived by her grandsons Anthony Palmer Jr., Christopher M. Palmer, Keith A. Palmer, and granddaughter Tracey L. Palmer and her husband Timothy Timmermann and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary was a graduate of the Rosary Academy in Watertown. One of Mary’s favorite hobbies was gardening. Mary was an avid reader and loved to travel. Mary was a very charitable person who volunteered her time at many local hospitals. In her earlier years Mary worked at Stop and Shop, First National Stores and Curtis Farms. Above all things Mary loved her family and spending time with her husband Arthur and her daughter Kathy who were her best friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting hours were private. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
