Mary E. Bello passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on March 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 4, 1946, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Mary exemplified kindness and selflessness throughout her life.
After graduating from St. Gregory's High School, Mary began her career as a phone operator, dedicating 23 years of her life to the New England Telephone Company. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Mary will be lovingly remembered for the way she cared for others. Her warmth and compassion made her a great friend and an anchor to all who knew her. She cultivated lifelong friendships, showcasing her genuine spirit and making a significant impact on the lives of those around her.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her family. Her husband, children, and grandchildren, all brought her immeasurable joy. She enjoyed traveling, with trips to Aruba and Florida, as well as many memorable cruises. Mary was also a devoted supporter of her grandchildren, and was often found cheering them on at their many soccer games, hockey games, baseball games, concerts and dance recitals.
Mary leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Dominic Bello Sr of Weymouth. Cherished Mother of Jeanne Bello and Kevin Fay of Braintree, Dominic Bello Jr and his wife Robyn of Braintree, Christopher Bello and his wife Casey of Quincy. Loving grandmother to Marisa Bello, Noah Jolicoeur, and Jordyn and Ryan Bello. Mary also leaves behind her sister Diane Goss of Braintree as well as sisters in law, brothers in law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home prior to a Funeral Mass, Saturday April 5, at 10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
