Mary Katherine (Fontana) Bailey

Mary K. (Fontana) Bailey, 82, of Quincy, MA, formerly of South Boston, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024. 

Mary was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Bailey and daughter of the late Anna (O’Neil) and Joseph Fontana of South Boston. Loving mother of Jacqueline Grattan and her husband Frederick of Hanover, William Bailey and his wife Maureen of South Boston, John Bailey and his fiancée Ann Davis of Chelsea, and Brian Bailey and his wife Fiona of Weymouth. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Rose, Brittney, Kristyn, Olivia, Owen, and Declan, and great grandmother to Maeve, Úna Rose, and Rory. Mary was the loving sister of William and Sheila Fontana of Quincy, Joseph and Virginia Fontana of Florida, Joan and Robert Lantz of New Hampshire, Gerard Fontana of Quincy, Katherine Fontana of Quincy, and the late Phyllis MacMurdo of Holbrook. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives, and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 8:30-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. 

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Divine Mercy Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. 

Services will conclude with interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
