McCarthy, Mary B. (Brosnan) of Braintree, passed away November 12, 2012. Beloved wife of Timothy McCarthy. Loving mother of Paul McCarthy and his wife, Janet, of Hull, Maureen Ayers and her husband, State Representative Bruce Ayers of Quincy, Tara Curry and her husband, Sean of Milton. Special and most beloved sister of Bridget McCarthy and her husband Richard of Kingston, Thomas Brosnan of Ireland, and the late Edward and Eugene Brosnan. Grammy and Gee Gee to Jennifer, Erin, Katie, Casey, Brendan, Jessica, Bridget, Richard, Laura, and Kelly. Great grandmother of Jayden, Mya, and Xavier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Rossanean, Currow, Killarney, Co. Kerry Ireland, she had lived in in Quincy for many years before moving to Braintree. Mary worked for 25 years as an assembler for Gillette Company. She enjoyed Irish Set Dancing, her many trips to Ireland, and also enjoyed playing camogie. Mary was a member of Ceol Traidisiunta na h-Eireann in Watertown. Mary loved being with her family and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
