Mary B. Marcarelli

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Marcarelli announces her passing on  September 8, 2018  at the age of 74 after battling a long illness with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Louis Marcarelli, loving mother of Mary Elizabeth Marcarelli of Raymond, NH, Suzanne Reardon and her husband Paul of Marshfield and Jeanne Marcarelli of Amesbury. Sister of Francis Bolger of Wareham/FL, Noel Bolger of Venice, FL, Michael Bolger of Brockton, Collette Westphal of Winthrop and the late John Bolger, Edward Bolger, Rita Fitzpatrick and Kevin Bolger. Cherished grandmother to Stephen Louis Oatman, Lily Reardon and Gabriella Reardon. Sister-in-law of Paula Potter and Susan Lynch of Ayer and Janine Cooper of Peabody. Mary is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and two Godchildren Bill Potter of Weston and Angelo Marcarelli of Montesarchio, Italy.

Mary was born a “New Years Eve Baby” in Cambridge, MA in 1944, grew up there and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin High School. Mary married the love of her life in 1964. At a young age Mary was the mother of three girls and was dedicated to her family. Mary loved being with her family and created so many family traditions that we all looked forward to. She welcomed everyone to her home with a smiling face. She was everyone’s friend or mom or sister whatever it took to console or help someone that was her mission.She had a love for reading and cooking especially during the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. She was a thoughtful and kind woman who loved everyone. She will be deeply missed…

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA on Saturday, September 15, at 10 AM.
