Mary Ann Toner

Toner, Mary Ann (Copson) of Carver, formerly of Weymouth passed away September 10, 2018.

She was born and raised in Melrose and attended St. Mary’s High School. She and her husband Paul spent many years running Toner Farm. Mary volunteered in Weymouth at SWAC, helping children with special needs learn to swim. Mary cherished the time she spent with her family at their summer home in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Mary was a creative woman and enjoyed crafts; mainly making beautiful braided rugs. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Beloved wife of 63 years to her high school sweetheart J. Paul Toner of Carver, formerly of Weymouth. Loving mother to Patricia A. Heywood and her husband Timothy of East Falmouth, James E. Toner and his wife Debra of Rockland, Robert P. Toner of Brockton, Carol J. Weddell and her husband Russell of Rehoboth and Michael J. Toner and his significant other Sindy Gauthier of  Carver. Proud Grammy of 10 grandchildren (one who predeceased her) and 1great grandchild. Dear sister of Eileen Kraus of FL, formerly of Melrose and predeceased by her siblings; Leslie Copson, Pauline Burbine, William Copson and Elizabeth Leonard.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
