Mary Ann “Mimi” Belyea

Mary Ann “Mimi” Belyea of Plymouth, formerly a longtime resident of Hull, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was 86.

She was born in Weymouth to Margaret (O’Hare) and Wallace Richardson and raised in Hull. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1955. Mimi was a hard worker who often held multiple jobs concurrently. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for the Town of Hull and she also managed several auto repair businesses she co-owned with her husband Walter.

Family was most important to Mimi. She enjoyed spending family time during the many pool parties she hosted. She was very generous and loved spoiling her step children, nieces, and nephews, especially during the holidays. She also believed in giving back to those less fortunate and supported many charitable organizations.

Mimi loved to travel and had very happy memories of the many years she spent with her husband Walter and friends in St. Martin. She also enjoyed trips to casinos, doing puzzles at home, and spending time with her beloved dogs.

Beloved wife of 47 years to Walter Belyea of Plymouth. Devoted step mother to Alan Belyea and his wife Kastin of Germany and David Belyea of Falmouth. Cherished grandmother to Sarah, Nastasha, Levi and Jack. Loving sister-in-law to Madeline Richardson of Hull, Barbara Morris and her husband Rick of Quincy, and Charlie Belyea and his wife Lisa of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Margaret (O’Hare) and Wallace Richardson, and siblings, Wally Richardson, Terry Richardson and Gail Coggins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mimi’s funeral service on Saturday, January 20th at 11 AM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, HINGHAM. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mimi’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
