Mary-Ann Mckay

Mary-Ann McKay (Silva) of Weymouth, passed away suddenly at the age of 67, on June 15, 2022. 

Mrs. McKay was a 1974 graduate of Weymouth South High School. Mary-Ann worked as a laundry attendant at the William B. Rice Eventide Nursing Home in Quincy for 22 years until her retirement. Mary-Ann loved her family greatly and was at her happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren and her dog Sadie that she rescued 4 years ago and spoiled like one of her children . Mary-Ann enjoyed playing Keno, the occassional trip to the casino, movie theater or just going out anywhere with friends and family. She was so good hearted and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

The daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Cristoferi) Silva. The beloved wife for nearly 30 years of the late Daniel McKay Sr. Beloved mother of Sandy McKay and (Rick) of South Weymouth, Daniel McKay Jr. and his wife Lynsey of East Weymouth and Steven McKay and (Cindy) of Carver. Adoring Nana to Liam and Cullyn McKay of East Weymouth. Loving Sister to Janet Dwyer of LA. Preceded in death by her brothers William and Robert Silva. Cherished sister-in-law to Gary McKay, John McKay and Debbie Sturgeon.  She was also survived by extended family and friends.

Mary-Ann had a special love for her rescued dogs Sadie and the late Teddy and she always spoiled her granddogs; Murphy, Keeva, Bruschi and Rocko with treats and toys.

Mary-Ann will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
