Mary A. Vasconcellos

Vasconcellos, Mary A. (Trinidad) 89 of Braintree formerly of Quincy, passed away suddenly January 24, 2012 at Hancock Park Rehabilitation Center. Beloved wife of 69 years of Albert D. Vasconcellos of Braintree. Loving mother of Marina Boyd and her husband Percel of New Haven, CT, Jude Daniele of Millis, Albert D. Vasconcellos II and his wife Theresa of Braintree , Joann Vasconcellos of Chocorua, NH and the late PFC Richard J. and Alan J. Vasconcellos. Cherished grandmother of Bethany, Timothy, Richard, Katherine and Michael Vasconcellos. Mother in law of Lee Ann Vasconcellos of Cape Cod and the late John Daniele. Mary and her husband Albert have resided at the Independence Manor in Braintree for the past 14 years, where they have made many close friends. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality since 1969. Mary was a Gold Star Mother of PFC Richard J. Vasconcellos (died 1966 in Vietnam). Mary also served with the late Father Edward McDonough of Mission Church in Boston. She dedicated much of her time to healing through prayer and charismatic faith. Mary and Al raised their family in Sacred Heart Parish, No. Quincy. They were the owners of The Five Corner Variety Store for over 20 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assissi Church Washington Street, Braintree, at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. At the request of the deceased please do not send flowers.
